Letter from B.H. Mullikin of Baltimore, Md., to his friend, Basil Duckett of Prince George County, Md., referring to the Battle of Bladensburg (Aug. 24, 1814) and the advance of the British Army to Washington, D.C., under Major General Robert Ross, and commenting on the preparations being made under General William H. Winder for the defense of Baltimore.
